Any person of Indian origin (Indian Citizen) living abroad for purpose of education, employment, carrying on business etc. for an long duration abroad is a non-resident Indian. Non-residents foreign citizens of Indian Origin are also treated on par with non-resident Indian Citizens (NRI’s) for purpose of certain facilities.

WHAT ARE THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR NON RESIDENT INDIANS?

THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED INCLUDE:

  1. Application with photograph.
  2. Salary Certificate or Salary Slip.
  3. Bank Statement for last 6 months updated (Overseas & Domestic).
  4. Employee Contract.
  5. Work Permit.
  6. CDC (Only applicable to Mariners).
  7. Passport and Visa Copy.
  8. Power of Attorney (POA) if required (as per draft).
  9. One cheque leaf (For processing fee).
